This research aims to grasp the current “influence” of the antiplot on the craft of contemporary audio-visual serialized narratives using streaming limited series Maniac (2018) as an example. This examination serves the propose of extend the current knowledge on the topic of antiplot, along with the elements that belong to this “narrative field”, to discuss the presence of these concepts while developing hybrid forms of audiovisual narrative for multiple screens and larger audiences today.
