Kino Eyes Alumna won at Locarno

Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir's, an Alumnae from KEM II, won first prize at Locarno Open Doors Hub 2020 with her debut feature film "Ze". The 40,000€ prize will help further develop her project. The feature also won the Open Doors – Moulin d’Andé CECI AwardLkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir is currently taking her PhD in Media Arts at Lusófona University. Congratulations!

Tomorrow Island is the Grand Prize Winner of the 5th Annual Stage 32 Short Film Program

"Tomorrow Island" is the Grand Prize Winner of the 5th Annual Stage 32 Short Film Program.

As part of the award the short film will be screening in the Stage 32 Short Film Program at the 2020 Hollyshorts Film Festival, the 2020 Raindance Film Festival and the 2020 Austin Film Festival.

FILMEU – European Universities Alliance for Film and Media Arts

The European Union has just published the results of the 2020 call of the European Universities Initiative, a brand new European initiative that supports transnational alliances that will become the universities of the future, promoting European values and identity, and revolutionising the quality and competitiveness of European higher education. FILMEU is one of the 24 new European Universities alliances that have been selected involving 165 higher education institutions from 26 Member States and other countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme. Universidade Lusófona will lead a consortium of four Higher Educational Institutions and several associated partners, from education to industry, selected to create the first European University in the area of Film and Media.

Kino Eyes Alumni selected for Cannes

“Mountain Cat”, a short film written and directed by, shot by, and edited by KinoEyes alumni Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir, Krish Makhija, and Madlen Siegharsleitner, has been selected as part of the Short Films in Competition at the 73rd Cannes Film Festival. Director Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir's debut feature film "Ze" is also selected for Locarno Open Doors Hub 2020. Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir is currently taking her PhD in Media Arts at Lusófona University. Congratulations!
