Abstract

This investigation offers a compilation of different perspectives addressing the creative process of the cinematographer (Director of photography or DoP). From philosophical sources to practical considerations, the cinematographer’s creative process offers a rich field of studies to understand how creativity can be understood in general, and how knowledge is obtained and practically used.
